I got a cold sore on my upper lip yesterday. It’s worse today, and this is my first cold sore.
My sister says its caused by my diet. Recently I’ve been eating a lot of fried foods..

I have been to the Doctor twice and he has been treating it as cold sores but nothing is working. The rash goes about a half an inch above and below my upper and lower lips. My lips are dry and painful. Lip balms relieve the the dryness and I put vasiline on them at night. the dr first prescribed Alebra….and after 10 days valtrex….nothing is working. Any suggestions?
I know they are a herpes strain, but what causes them to come out? Is it stress, vitamin deficiency, or what?
I get one then it heals and another one pops up at a different spot on my lip. I just want to know what is causing them all to come out now.

I’ve been getting cold sores every since i was in like elementary school and I’ve been out of school since 06. I get them a couple times a year. What are the causes and how can i get rid of them for good?
I’m 4 days from a dress rehearsal and 5 days from the ACTUAL performance. And today I got a severe cold and a horrible sore throat. What’s a quick fix for this? And I mean in less than 3 days.
I’ve been on the pill for about a month and a half now and in the past month alone I’ve had like four cold sores. It’s driving me crazy. I don’t have the money to keep buying Valtrex like this. Should I try going off the pill to see if the cold sores stop?
