My 3 yr niece swallowed some abreva cold sore /fever blister treatment cream in a pump?After exposure what can the symptoms be as a result?????
Also my sister uses the treatment for her coldsores an sometimes she does’t rub the cream all the way in to her coldsore an sleeps with it @ night. An sometimes she is commanding about tasting the medicine in her mouth? would that effect her in any way possible? Is it life threatening to get the coldsore treatment cream in your mouth?
I aint her mother an I was’t there when it happen shes in illinois an am in new jersey so its sorta hard to take her to the doctor myself.
Ingredients-Active ingredient is Docosanol
Inactive ingredients are benzyl alcohol,light mineral oil,propylene glycol,water (purified),sucrose distearate, an sucrose stearate.

I was diagnosed with mono a few days ago. Today I developed a cold sore above my lip.
Could this be connected to the mono? Or is there another way cold sores occur?
What are some ways you can treat cold sores? How long would those take?
Also, is there a way to treat cold sores without a medicine? I’ve heard of Abreva, but in Walgreens a really tiny bottle is over . Is it worth the money? Or is there a more effective herbal way?

So glad I asked here in the alternative medicine section…you’re great! I’ll have to try the hydrogen peroxide/rubbing alcohol first (since I have that in my house). I look into the others (green tea oil, etc.) I’ve heard of Elderberry syrup, don’t know much about it. Could anyone tell me what these oils & syrups are or where to find them? Thanks!

I read that you can get this treatment from your dentist. It’s supposed to speed healing. Has anyone tried it? Does it work?
I have tried every over the counter medicine such as abreva, herpecin..pretty much every over the counter medicine. I do like abreve, but I’ve been reading about this new medicine from the dentist. Has anyone tried Viroxyn?

Yesterday I started this getting this cold, I went to school & took medicine in the morning. But around the end of the day my nose started getting really stuffy, and I started sneezing a lot and getting a sore throat. but then going to bed it wasn’t that bad. Now today i woke up and it was really bad my voice sounds horrible, my throat kind of hurts, and my nose is super stuffy; so im staying home but guess what i have a basketball game at 6:15 today any tips ?

My 10 year old daughter had a high fever this week and from that developed fever blisters inside of her mouth and on the throat area. She refuses to eat and drink because it hurts.
