How do you get rid of Cold Sore Scars?
I had a huge cold sore about 3 weeks ago, and it finally cleared up, but it left a scar!!! Anyone know anything to help get rid of the scar?

A simple treatment helps scars. Get Castor oil, soak a peice of cotton flannel, cover the scar at night. Use whatever covering you have to to keep from making a mess. You can reuse the cloth until it gets rather bad looking, then start a new one. In a week or so you should see some improvement. In a month or so it will be gone. (timing varies with the size of the scar, and from person to person)

I use to get them also , try either putting vaseline or a vitamin e cream on it when you go to bed at night that always seem to help my places.
I’m not sure how to get rid of the scar, but use Viroxyn as soon as you feel it coming. This stops it right away from developing and it helps eliminates scarring before it fully appears. Not to mention it heals it right away.
For the scar…try pure Vitamin E at night…and use Burt’s BEES Lip balm ALL the time too….
I REALLY wanted you to know that you can EASILY never have to deal with another horrible, awful, nasty cold-sore for the rest of your life!!
I got them every winter my whole life until 3 years ago (I’m 36 now) and they were the BANE of my existence…the whole process took weeks to heal and would leave a scar for at least 2 months sometimes!
