You can buy it at a local drug store over the counter. It comes in capsules, tablets, and a topical ointment called super-lysine +. I take 2-4 a day when I immediately start to feel it. Personally I can't put any topical ointment on mine it always seems to enrage it so if your that type stick to the pills! However my daughter uses the ointment and it works great for her.
