I get cold sores, about 3 or 4 a year, and I want to get a labret piercing. Because the piercing would obviously irritate my lip, would it cause for me to get a cold sore?

I got a cold sore about a day ago and have been using Campho-Phenique. I’ve used it on previous cold sores but it usually takes about a week or more to cure with this medication. It covers almost all of my upper left lip area and is extremely swollen. I have school in the next 3 days and I would like to cure it as best as possible.

They kind of look like cold sores. He is always scratching them and they even bleed sometimes. I use a stainless steel bowl to feed him and his water dish is stainless steel.
