I have been to the Doctor twice and he has been treating it as cold sores but nothing is working. The rash goes about a half an inch above and below my upper and lower lips. My lips are dry and painful. Lip balms relieve the the dryness and I put vasiline on them at night. the dr first prescribed Alebra….and after 10 days valtrex….nothing is working. Any suggestions?

well i got a massive outbreak on coldsores yesterday and i have about 4 or 5 on my upper and lower lip all together, and i was looking through some ways to get rid of them. and i heard that you could use toothpaste to dry it out, or nail polish remover, anyone tried this or had experience, please if you could tell me some other ways aswell. or if these work, i dont want to have to go to the store and buy anything right now, just want to now some home ones
forgott to add that iv had them all my life and i have been to doctors whenever i get them a load of times, but them cream they give me, when i use ti it makes it worse, and turns it to impitigo, and that kill,s, ever since i stopped using the cream, i havnt had it, but i still got norml cold sores, the normally go after a week and i havnt had a break out like this in ages..
