I’ve got a minor cold sore from being in the sun or someting and I need to know how to get rid of it within a few days?

I have a small bump on my lip. it’s in the middle of my bottom lip… it hurts a little but when i purse my lips together i can’t feel a bump. But i can see it… I don’t know if it’s a fever blister or just a split of the skin on my lip? Or a scratch… i dont know 
im really worried that it might be a cold sore. Im 17 and have never had a cold sore in my life, but both my parents have the herpes simplex virus which causes them to have cold sores. But when they get sores i stay pretty far away from them and try to be away from home as much as i can. I dont use their stuff or share razors, towels, drinking glasses, utensils, etc. I’ve always been really careful about not contracting the virus. But this bump is freaking me out! I dont know what cold sores look like at first. Is is possible that it could be a pimple? Do people get pimples on their lips?? Im so scared, i don’t wanna give the virus to my boyfriend if it is a cold sore… Of course i wouldn’t kiss him or anything if it is. Is herpes simplex hereditary?? I REALLYYY HOPE I DONT HAVE IT!!

i was sick all week with a swollen glands, sore throat, nasal congestion, lung congestion, and then i got a fever. i did not go to a dr.
the fever is gone. now i have fever blisters on the roof of my mouth and only one of my glands is mildly enlarged.
i was reading that fever blisters can be on your lips and the roof of the mouth, so im pretty sure that they are fever blisters as i just had a high fever.
now that i am feeling better i feel like it would be wasteful for me to go to the dr.
but im concerned because i never had fever blisters before.
will my fever blisters go away on their own? is there an OTC treatment for fever blisters INSIDE THE MOUTH. they really hurt. im kind of worried, will they heal properly? will they get bigger and bigger? how long do they take to heal?

Earlier this evening, I noticed a small circular section on the inside of my lower lip was red and tender. It still is.
It feels like a cold sore. I’ve eaten a lot of chips in the last few days, and about a week-two weeks ago, I was in this zombie movie, and the make up was so thick the guy that did the make up had to remove my make up with a household sponge (the make up was all over my face and lips). Could it be from the chips or the sponge?
And what exactly causes a cold sore? Could it be herpes? Although you have to have sex of some kind to catch herpes, don’t you? And I’m not sexually active. Help please!
I have been getting fever blishters on my lips since I was little. It runs in my familys blood line so its not like I got it from a STD. I have tried everything over the counter u could possibly think of. Does anyone have any suggestions???

Having the HSV virus not only results in cold sores but can also lead to a rash on your body as well. This is another good reason to gain control over the cold sore issue.
It is frustrating to have the herpes cold sore on the lip due to the length it takes to resolve and the fact that the fever blister on the lip is so noticeable. But for some, it gets more complicated. There is a herpes rash that some develop on their bodies,which consist of red lesions with grey or white centers. The technical name for this rash is erythema multiforme minor.
It can also be caused by walking pneumonia or another infection, but the hsv virus (herpes virus) is the main reason people get erythema multiforme minor. For many, the rash is itchy and can make sleep difficult without taking an antihistamine such as benadryl.
