A cold sore is actually named herpes simplex 1. It is not sexual, simply put a cold sore is a virus. You get it usually from contact with the virus. It can take the form of a blister or of an open sore. Since you describe neither I would say you do not have a cold sore. more than likely it is a pimple or an ingrown hair.
If in a day of two it turns into an open sore then think cold sore; if it gets better probably a pimple; if it gets worse I would guess an ingrown hair.
